ACLC Changes for 2010

NEW Meeting Day, Time & Place!

Starting with our January 16^th 2010 meeting, the ACLC will be meeting on the 3^rd Saturday of each month at 1:00PM at THAT FISH PLACE! The only exception will be the April meeting, which will be held on April 24^th due to the Anniversary Sale at That Fish Place being held on the previous weekend.  A special thanks to Chris Cornell for putting me in touch with Craig Beauchamp of That Fish Place.  Craig has been a pleasure to work with and is very excited about hosting our club meetings. He is now on our forum (User ID: CBeau) and will be posting many new and exciting items as they  come into the fishroom at That Fish Place.  The store will also be giving all ACLC members a 10% coupon that will be honored for any item on the day of our meetings.  The entire staff of That Fish Place is very enthusiastic and has gone out of their way to assist us in many ways. This has made me feel very confident that this will be a very good relationship for many years to come! 

Tank Tales goes Electronic!

Starting with the February issue, Tank Tales will be an aLL electronic publication and you will receive an email each month with a link to connect to a copy of Tank Tales which you can then read on the computer or print any or all pages. This electronic version will be published in full color.

Auction and Raffles

Our monthly mini-auction will now be an 80/20 split for members and a 50/50 split for non-members . Our raffle tickets will be $1 each/7 for $5/15 for $10.  We will have 2 groups of prizes for you to win and you can choose which raffle your ticket is for, putting all tickets in one can or splitting them between the two.  We will also have a free member’s door prize raffle for any member attending the meeting.  SPECIAL:  Any member wearing a piece of ACLC clothing will receive a free ticket for the raffle and any member who brings a new member to the meeting will receive 1 free raffle ticket for themselves and the new member will also receive 1 free ticket upon joining.

Membership

Junior membership dues have been reduced to $5 per year.  Speakers will be honorary members of the ACLC for a period of 1 year.

The ACLC Executive Board is also working on a few other great ideas and they will be announced at the meeting, on the website and in Tank Tales as soon as we have all the details worked out.  This is going to be a great year for the ACLC, let’s get excited, get involved and have fun!
