Cory substrate?
Now, I was going to use very small pea gravel, since it seems smoother then the gravel I've seen at the lfs. A friend said no to that, they'll rub off their little whiskers and have a flat face! He mentions #2 bird gravel, never heard of it, has anyone used it.

scratches on outside of tank wall... oops!
it's my own fault, there was a small splotch of something on there that my compulsive behavior would not allow to exist, and i stupidly hit it with the wrong side of the sponge.
now there is a fuzzy array of scratches that stands out like a crackhouse in a wealthy neighborhood. is there anything...

Who uses Purigen in their planted tanks?
I have a feeling my well is getting soured again due to drought conditions. I can't really use carbon in my tanks due to fert dosing. I've been checking into Purigen and would like to get thoughts/recommendations from others before I do anything.

Water ?
Hey all this is my 75 gallon reef water question. I also have a 30 gal sump. with skimmer and a 700gph return with a cpr overflow. My ph-8.0-8.2, ammo-0, nitritite-0, nitrate-0, calcium 350-360, dkh-8-9 all tests were done with api tests.
Is my dkh high. I have nervier really tested it before....

10g Tank Ideas
I recently changed this tank to a sand substrate and i would like to make it a planted tank and restock it. right now there is only 3 guppies left in the tank and hopefully they'll stop having babies long enough for me to plant the tank lol:D.

What a disasterous day!
I joined the ranks of the brain dead fish keepers today.
Here we go. When I do water changes, I drip the water back into the tank due to the inverts I keep. I seem to have a rough go at it when I change the water and just pour the new water straight in. So...I now slowly add the new water...
